Divine Office

​

The Community has for some time maintained a fourfold pattern of Daily Office.

 

The current times are:

​

• Lauds/Morning Prayer: 9.00 am

• Eucharist/Midday Office: 12.30 pm (Noon on Sundays and Festivals)

• Vespers/Evening Prayer: 5.00 pm

• Compline: 7.00 pm

Each Office has a particular intention:

Lauds/Morning Prayer - we give thanks for our creation, preservation, vocation; the blessing of grace and for the hope of glory; for the unity of the Church and the peace of the world; for all in danger or distress

​

Eucharist/Midday Office - we pray in union with the Passion of our Lord; for those who hate or ignore Christ; for those bound to him and to us by ties of love; for those now sharing his suffering and death

​

Vespers/Evening Prayer - we adore God, in union with all who worship Him, in time and in eternity

​

Compline - we pray for all the departed; for those who are working at night; for the starving, homeless and tempted and, for us all, repentance and confidence in God.

​

In addition to their corporate worship, the Sisters set aside time for personal prayer morning and evening.
